If required by a customer they can be transferred or hired, offering the possibility of aiming at an objective public. The database can consist of various files.
  • Handling: Set of steps taken to prepare a shipment for its subsequent distribution. We apply the most adequate process, in accordance with the characteristics, to every shipment.
  • Ink-jet printing: This is a method of printing which prints line by line, for a maximum of 5 lines (address on envelope).

  • Inserts or insertion: Consists of the insertion of one or more items into a magazine or catalogue.

  • Label: A paper item which contains the address of the addressee. There are two types of labels, laser or self-adhesive.
  • Laser printing: This is a fast method of printing which makes it possible to print several messages on a same item (i.e.: letter with address).
  • Match items: Selection of different personalised items for a same shipment.
  • Personalisation: Personalisation should not be confused with a personal and no-transferable shipment (invoice, credit cards, bank statements, etc. are personal and no-transferable, and are considered to be letters) (An envelope with a window showing the addressee's name but with an identical message for all the shipments is considered to be a mailshot.
  • Postal inspection: Mandatory inscription on the upper part of the envelope to show that the shipment is a mailshot and not a letter. This option can only be replaced by an envelope which is not closed (overlapped) or by a sleeve wrap shipment.
  • Returns: Shipments returned to the sender or promoter of the shipment, for different reasons (address change, unknown, death, insufficient details, etc.)
  • Self-adhesive seal: Closing system for envelopes and bags (which allows them to be opened and closed again several times).
  • Sleeve wrapping: Plastic package of various thicknesses thermally stamped, which guarantees better protection of the content, is appropriate for the shipment of catalogues and leaflets of special sizes (MRW Magazine).
  • To label: The action of personalising the shipment by sticking on a label provided by the customer.
  • To lift or lifted: Usually used for sleeve wrapping and consists of placing one item on top of the other.
  • To frank: Deliveries which are not distributed by MRW and which must necessarily be sent via the post office, and therefore require the stamps indicating the amount of the current rate to be stuck on.
  • Weight: Weight of the shipments ordered according to a scale and a rate. Weight per shipment item.
  • Franking strip: Some consignments to be stamped can not be franked directly by the franking machine due to their size or special characteristics, so the corresponding franking must be printed on an adhesive strip that is later stuck on the consignment in question.
